Roving Larder is creating a special Cuisine & Concert experience for guests heading to Night at the Barracks — a relaxed, flavour-filled evening inspired by the South of France.

You’ll join us in the kitchen for a warm and easy-going cooking experience, guided by our chef. Nothing too scary, nothing too formal — just beautiful ingredients, a few hands-on cooking moments, and the joy of making food together.

Then we’ll sit down around our long table for a generous three-course meal with wine before you head off to the concert.

Think Provençal flavours, good conversation, a touch of French sunshine, and that lovely feeling of starting the night properly — with food, wine and people gathered around a table.

This is not a restaurant booking. It is a shared food experience. You cook a little, eat well, relax, and then wander off to enjoy the show.

Entrée Niçoise Salad

With crisp leaves, olives, beans, egg, seared tuna and a bright Dijon-lemon vinaigrette.

Slow-cooked chicken casserole served with ratatouille and saffron rice.

With rosemary coulis, caramelised orange and ice cream.

Please note: the menu may change slightly depending on the season and what looks best on the day. We always prefer good produce over rigid promises.

This is a relaxed hands-on experience with simple things like:

• Preparing the salad

• Searing, stirring, tasting and seasoning

• Making ratatouille

• Preparing dessert elements - caramelizing pears

• Plating and sharing the meal together

No experience needed. Just bring yourself, your appetite and a willingness to join in.

This experience runs for approximately 2 hours and is designed as a pre-concert event.

Concert tickets are not included and must be purchased separately through the official Night at the Barracks ticketing platform.

Please allow enough time for parking, arrival and getting to the concert after your meal.

Dietary requirements can often be accommodated with notice, but they must be advised when booking. Some dishes may include gluten, dairy, egg, seafood, meat, alcohol, onion, garlic and other common allergens.
